Hi all. I was just browsing the App Store for  possible ways to help me on my journey. I already have My Fitness Pal, but I was hoping for something more WLS related. Who knew there would be so many?  Do any of you have any trusted, and loved, phone apps that you can suggest?  Thanks so much!!

Could you specify a more specific purpose you are looking for? For example, I pay attention to the glycemic index so found an app. I try to practice mindfullness to assist in the journey, so have an app for that.

Hi and thank you. I'm looking for something that not only you can track food, water and weight, but also something that can provide recipes or give suggestions on low carb, high protein choices. Basically something for a newbie like me that provides a little more knowledge than the basic information that the nutritionist gives you. I'm probably hoping for way too much. Lol. I saw one that was designed by the Mayo Bariatric Center, but I think it's more geared for their patients, instead of the community in general.

What is the glycemic index app that you use?  Pam

I have used My Fitness Pal religously since my journey began 18 months ago as well as Bariatric Timer.  You set it when you finish eating and it goes off when you can drink...it's been very handy!  Haven't really found a need for any others...my iPhone tracks my steps, so everything is pretty well covered!  Good luck!

5'5" 64 year old; HW 219; SW 199; CW 129; GW 145ish (original)...now on to "ideal" (138)...got that...now a few spare (132)...got that one, too! Now for the 120's!! Made them...now for the "dream" weight...125! Well, that one's proving to be a little tougher!

Hello,
I love Bariatric iq as it contains WLS recipes, a nice database and a friendly forum :)

Cheers!

Had surgery at Nordbariatric, with surgeon A. Maleckas.

Ok, there are a few out there that you might want to chekc out. BariatricPal and Baritastic. If you are looking to be a low carb type then Ketodiet might be worth looking into (that on is $1.99 though). Baritimer helps with timing your drinking/eatig.
