What do I pack?
What I used was Cell phone and charger, Chapstick, bioteen mouth moisturizer, (your mouth may be uncomfortably dry) a pair of baggy shorts to wear under my hospital gown for walks so that I didn't have to worry about my gown opening in the back. I wore super comfortable clothes and wore the same thing home. I also wore slip on shoes so that I wouldn't have to bend over to put them back on to go home. Almost forgot, earplugs, those machines beep constantly(could still hear the beeping but it wasn't as bad with the ear plugs and I could sleep. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

I over packed. I only used my toothbrush, chapstick, skin care (face wash, moisturizer) and comfy clothes for the drive home. They gave me everything else I needed. I didn't use the ipad, book or magazines I packed. I basically walked, sipped and slept.

Cell Phone and charger are a must - I also brought headphones and listened to pandora for 2 days. That helped with the room mate situation. Tooth brush and paste and yes, shorts/underwear.. Good Luck.
You can't take care of them, if you don't take care of you!!

I packed much more than I needed. I was glad I took my pajamas so I could change out of the hospital gown ASAP. I took reading material, puzzle books, my Ipad, and my knitting, but I slept the whole time and didn't use any of that stuff. All the toiletries were provided at the hospital so I didn't even need my tooth brush. Wear loose clothes that won't bind in the belly. I also had a pillow in the car to cushion the seat belt for the ride home.
I also did so well that they sent me home a day early. Maybe I would have used more stuff if I stayed longer.
best wishes,
Carol
