Hungry, or just surrounded by yummy Easter food?
I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid or what, but I'm 4 days post op. Until today, there where no doubts I had surgery. Although I'm on full liquids, I could barely take in an ounce or two of anything before I felt stuffed. Well today the family gathered for Easter dinner. I did good. Didn't wish, or want, a thing they were eating. Now that I'm home....I kinda feel hungry. I read a ton of stuff prior to surgery, and a few things I've read said that some people have stretched the sleeve prior to it having a chance to properly heal. I have stuck with the diet word for word so could I have possibly done this or is it possibly head hunger from seeing the spread everyone else enjoyed?

is it time for a shake or drink or whatever is on your plan for 4 days post op. You likely won't feel true hunger if you stay on your plan.
Yeah, they have me sipping/eating up to 4 ounces of something every hour which I have been doing. Like I said these past few days, I could barely get in 2 ish or so ounces before I had to stop. Today, even at the 4 ounces, I don't feel satisfied which is worrisome. No matter what I feel, I'm definitely not going over that amount. Just a little worried. I don't want to get this far and screw it up by my own stupidity.
Swelling is reducing. Full liquids will not usually hav e you trule feel your restriction- once you get to dense protein you will be able to. You may find as you progress it will seem more and more you can eat more than you should- up at least until you switch to protein. Be sure to weigh and measure during this time, and don't forget the vagus nerve is cut so you don't get your normal I am full feeling to tell you to stop.

Great. Thank you so much. In still following everything as I should. I just didn't expect to see such a big change from one day to the next. Then to think I'm able to actually drink the 4 ounces without feeling bloated/full really worried me since the past few days 2 ish ounces were pushing it. I hate to sound so paranoid or ditzy, but so many times when outsiders hear about the surgery, they say "you'll just gain it all back"! Ugh!!!! Where's the encouragement people?!?! So I want to do everything I need to utilize this tool to the best of my ability. It was actually a year of lurking on OH that lead me to my decision. I've read such wonderful stories and lifestyle changes and I want to be one too!!
Oh thank the Lord. I did just think today my stomach didn't look as big. Thank you for your response. You have no idea how much of a relief that is. I like to do my research, but sometimes I feel it's safer if I stay off the internet because I can always find the worst in everything in going through. Thank you again.
