Just tried my first bag of the chips. Just like you said- not the best tasting, but tolerable. Made my protein target for the first time though because of the boost. The bag had a lot in it- never thought i was going to get it finished!

I used bake cookies when I replaced flour with protein powder and some almond or coconut flour.. But mostly used protein powder.

Some of the I kept moist - and some I would dehydrate to make them very dry and crunchy...to keep them in a car or purse..

Check eggface blog for some recipes.

I now make almond coconut "cookies" and they are nice but they are not low fat... I slowly increased fat and now I can tolerate more fat ...(i had GB surgery app 7 years ago)

Fat from nuts, avocado, eggs are easy... But greasy fries, some very greasy burger, or some bad fat and oils - and even small amount is "no go"..

Hubby is already pulling double duty with his work and picking up all the slack here at home, so I don't think I will ask him to make anything. He is off here in a couple days though for a week- maybe I can get him to try some then. I can tolerate more fat than I could immediately post op, but it is still very very little. I think eventually I will be able to tolerate more, just not quite yet :)

If you tolerate soy, whey and additives the k-natural snacks are quite nice. I used live on those for 3 weeks before my GB - hernia surgery.  I was able to snack on them without getting sick or in pain...

I had some in the basement I forgot about- I agree, they work well. I am a little tired of the sweet, but at this point I need to just get something down. Lost 7 pounds since last Friday and I was already at the bottom of the weight range my docs want me at. I did try a veggie burger for lunch and was able to get almost half down, and so far able to keep it down. Why is it I can ALWAYS manage to get a Venti skinny decaf caramel latte down from Starbucks? I swear my body it finely tuned to consume any coffee beverage no matter how crappy I feel!
