  1. Weight loss stops after one year. Absolutely not. It stops when you stop following the plan.
  2. Slider foods can stretch the sleeve. No, they only allow you to consume far too many calories quickly.
  3. The sleeve can stretch. My doc said no at the time of my original surgery. I have a very large sleeve and just came off a second hiatel hernia surgery. Prior to the 2nd surgery the GI results showed a "mishapen" sleeve, and he described it as being stretched and possibly needing a resleeve. Once in surgery and the stomach was returned to where it needed to be though, it indeed was still a normal sleeve. Consequently, if there was ever a person the sleeve would stretch on- it would have been me given my medical situation. I have more of the stretchy part than most, I had a constricted situation with that hernia, and I eat a relatively large amount compared to many sleevers. No stretch. I am not saying it is impossible, but as long as you are not persistently eating until you are literally sick you should be good to go.
  4. Eating only 6-800 calories will put you into starvation mode. No. Many here do very well at that range. I did eat progressively more calories as the months went on, but I also exercised a lot and monitored carefully. Had I stuck to that range, I would have made it to goal faster. But I still made it to goal easily. I found that trying to eat 800 calories consistently by month 3 to not be so doable, but I can do 1200 consistently. Please note that I am over 6 feet tall though, so my shorter counterparts who don't exercise would have potentially far less calories to work with
