Hey all, this is my first post. I'm excited to say that I've been following a 6 month diet per my insurance company. Surprisingly, these months are going by quick enough. I've lost 18.3 lbs since going on the diet back in November. I finally have a date for my surgery! 7/6/16!

My supervised diet is up in May but due to other reasons, I have to wait until July. Does anyone have any advice they'd like to share?

Welcome, and congratulations. Read and study as much as you can. Get a good running start going into surgery -- having some momentum from whatever changes you can make now will only help you down the road.

I was helped at first by focusing on a couple of people who had surgery several years before and not only lost their excess weight, but kept it off. Their attitudes and approaches were those I wanted to emulate.

Good luck!
