Vitamin SHopping
I think it shows how bad some advice can be.
The ASMBS recommends 200% of the RDA of vitamins and minerals. Flintstones completely lack a whole bunch of things, and are low in many others. A half of a Flintstones every day is terrible, terrible advice. Healthy children take a whole one. An adult after weight loss surgery, eating a very small and very limited diet, needs a lot more.
Take what you like, but I would run far away from a recommendation like that.

Like Grim mentioned, I use CVS and get them when it is buy one get one free. I still like the chewables so I use their spectrovite senior vitamins and they cost me $4/month (taking 2 a day). I get most of my other vitamins there, too, and spend around $20/month total. At 7 years out, my labs are good. There is no reason to spend a lot on specialty bariatric vitamins.

For the first few weeks, I'm planning on just using protein powders that have v/m in them plus my surgeon also says 2 Flinstones complete a day until about 6 weeks (when my pouch heals). I've got some Isopure and Protizyme powders. Celebrate has a 4 in 1 protein that they say is perfect for us newbies, I ordered 1 of these, but it hasn't come yet.

If you have a Trader Joe's near you, their chewable High Potency multi-vitamin might be a good option for you. For the first six months after surgery, I took two a day, then switched to one per day. My labs have always been great. They cost about $7.99 for a 90-count bottle, which I think works out to about 18 cents per day if you are taking 2 per day, and 9 cents per day for one a day. They are also low calorie and low carb (unlike the bariatric specialty vitamins, which might as well be candy IMO) and they taste fine.
