How long after VSG to reach your weight goal?
I am approximately 26 lbs from my weight goal after VSG on 07/01/2015. Hopefully, I will be there around June 1st 11 months after surgery. Just curious about others and their journeys who have reached their weight goal. Am I making normal progress? I realize many of you are women and your weight loss speed "in general" varies from men.
Personally, I am feeling great, and that is the important thing!

I met mine almost exactly 10 months post-surgery. Pre-surgery though I lost almost 60 lbs, so had I not done that, it would have taken longer.
Progress seems great to me!

It absolutely depends on the amount of weight you need to lose. Most folks around here tend to reach goal in about a year, though it does vary for those with a lot to lose and those who are noncompliant.
I got to my initial goal (120lb down) in about 10 months. I lost another 10 or 12 by the 12-month period and called it good.

You are doing great and since you are feeling great that's the most important thing!! It took me a little under 8 months to lose 108 pounds. I reached goal in 31 weeks and 4 days.
You were just a little feller. It sounds like you are right on track.
I've seen people reach goal in 6 months, and one in 7-1/2 years. But somewhere around one year is the most common.

At my first-year post surgiversary (Feb. 2), I had lost 115 pounds. Still have 40 to go, but, since my WL has slowed down, I expect it will take the better part of this year to get to goal. Harder than in early months, but still doable.
