Found out my insurance WILL cover VSG

I spoke to the insurance coordinator and the nurse and was told its a covered procedure and all I have to do is tell them when i would like to have this done and we will start working on getting everything I need. I was told I could be ready as soon as 2 to 3 months!!!

Congratulations! I have been waiting on UHC for 13 days to get the approval. They have up to day 15 to make a decision. I guess they are going to wait until the last minute.

I have BCBS PPO.

really?! i do too! I just looked at my coverage this morning and it shows as bariatric surgery isnt covered though :\

You may want to call or have a coordinator from the Surgeons office call because most aren't listed as covered BUT from what i learned MOST cover it if you meet criteria.  Good luck I hope its covered for you!
