No Pre-op diet before surgery?

2 of my friends had the DS in Brazil in 2004.  Not only was there no pre-op diet but the staff took them to an all you can eat buffet the night before.

I just wonder why some people are not required to do one?

because surgeons are not clones nor are they God. Every one has his/her own idea about what to do.

Definitely every surgeon is different. I had a really strict 2 week pre-op diet of liquids only. It was tougher than the post-op food plan!

VSG: 06/24/15 // Age: 35 // Height: 5'10" // Lost so far: 190 lbs

I am on a really strict 2 week liquid diet right now.... It is hard but I am managing. only 5 more days left!!!

I don't have to do a pre-op diet. I was very surprised.
