Hi! New here... I'm looking into the Sleeve but my BMI is 53

I had a BMI of 52 and my surgeon at first wanted RNY for me, except that at the time I was taking prednisone, which causes problems in RNY patients. So I got the sleeve. I'm only a year post-op, so I can't say anything about its long-term success for me. But so far, I have no cause for complaint. Far from it!

While I would not consider myself a "long term" success, I started with a BMI of 63, so "larger" patients do get the sleeve and lose well. You just have to work it - everyday.
