New to the Forum! VSG scheduled 2/29!
Hi guys! I have discovered these forums after I heard them mentioned on YouTube channel and have been reading a lot of posts, and decided to join in the fun! I just turned 39, have a 15 yr old daughter, and a 6 month old daughter! Neither of them did any favours to my body hah... so currently hovering at just under 260 lbs (5'7").
I am scheduled for my VSG with Dr Ramos Kelly for the 29th of February; figured I may as well use the special day for my special day! I start my pre op diet on the 15th of February. SO excited, nervous, in denial/disbelief that I am actually doing this after dreaming about it for a good 5 years.. I've been overweight since I was about 10 - 11, so I've never not been 'the fat girl'.
I look forward to getting to know some of you! If anyone is having surgery the same day, let me know!
I have made a couple of videos on YouTube, so people can follow my little WLS journey.

Welcome! Congrats on your upcoming surgery. You will quickly learn a lot about life immediately post op but I highly recommend finding people here who are years out and get tips/tricks/"secrets" from them as they have a lot of wisdom to offer.

Welcome!!! I'm having my surgery 2/15, so we will be close. I'm on day 2 of my prep op diet and while yesterday was hard, I kept my eyes on the final outcome and survived. Looking forward to see where our journey take us.

Welcome and congratulations making the best decision for your health and life! I also have only been overweight since I was 9- 10ish so I feel your pain. It's cool your surgery will be on leap year. That means your first surgiversary is technically 4 years from now hehe. Can you imagine where you'll be by then? :) Ask lots of question, there are no dumb questions, and you'd rather be well informed then uninformed.
