2 week stall?

So I know there is a 3 week stall but I got it at 2 weeks :) I am such an overachiever! I know there are a lot of stall related posts but the search never works on my phone. How long does this stall last? I haven't lost anything in 3 days, a bit frustrating when you are eating 6 ounces of pudding a day. Thanks :)

You won't have a stall if you avoid the scale for a few weeks....

Weeks?! Not possible. I am an obsession with daily weighing. I know it isn't the best thing to do but I do it anyway.

I agree with Alison; put the scale away!

Especially weighing everyday does not give you an accurate sense of what is going on! Just from daily fluctuations with water, salt, etc there is no way to get a good idea of your actual weight unless you put weighing off for a bit.

If you are an avid every-day-weigher, I know it probably seems impossible and you don't even want to give it a shot, but I figured it can't hurt to give you my advice on it. Since you weigh everyday, try simply weighing every other day to start. You don't have to suddenly jump to only weighing once a week or once a month. One baby step at a time! And think of how much rewarding it feels when you step on the scale and have lost double the amount of weight you would normal see! Just a thought.

As for the 2nd/3rd week stall, I can't say much about it. I will tell you I lost 3 pounds this week (my third week) as compared to about 10 pounds each my first and second week. Granted, I started eating real food again. I think at every stage your body needs time to re-adjust. I figure as long as you aren't gaining weight, it's a positive! Plus, a lot of time, after a stall/plateau, your body will drop a bunch when it finally decides to budge. Try not to fret about it too much! :)

Get on the scale as often as you like. Just don't look at it for a couple of weeks.

Haha! Or I've heard  other advice to cover the display with positive inspirational messages - particularly one that reminds you that you're worth more than your weight. It's just a freaking number. I find that when I'm engaged in obsessively weighing myself, I'm not trusting the process. When I follow my plan and trust that the results will follow, I don't find the need to jump on the scale every 5 minutes.

Pay attention to how your body feels, clothes feel, etc. Don't worry about the number on the scale and avoid it for a while. Work your plans and I guarantee 8 months from now you won't even remember a stall.

I was on my 3week stall for about 4 weeks.  It was difficult not to see the scale move.  I'm about 21 weeks out now and down 87 lbs.....the scale will move again.  Congrats on your surgery!!!
