Feeling better ?

I feel so much better today! I do have a question,  should I focus on my protein intake or water intake? I've been sipping both and several times I've over done it and had to deal with that lovely pain.

Water, keep sipping.

Water is most important early out, but you can put protein powder in broth, or jello or puddings or yogurt so you can do both.  The protein is important for healing.

I'm so glad you are feeling better.

best of luck on your weight loss journey.

whatever it is just sip slow at first i found things really really cold went down better..now at six months out lol warm things slide better go figure...i would concentrate on fluids first then try a little protein because you cant let yourself become dehydrated thats the first rule...try really cold crystal light with ice see if you like that it was a God send for me i would put mine in the freezer till it was almost froze then sip it ahhh it was so good back then..im glad you are feeling better...i still have those moments when i drink too much and it hurts ..

Fluid is more important early on, believe me the last thing you want right now is to become dehydrated. Protein however is important as well, it aids in your healing process. I know I used to drink probably over 100 ounces a day prior to surgery if not a bit a more than that. Now it's an effort to remember to get 64 ounces or more a day, I am just not thirsty like I used to be. Just sip sip sip, alternate between fluid and protein shakes. Good luck.
