Its good to hear from you again.  Congratulations on losing 60 pounds.

I had hair loss - starting at month 3 ending around month 7.  So hopefully, you are near the end of it.  By month 9 I had a healthy crop of recruits sticking straight up on top of my head.  I was so happy to see them that I didn't even mind that they made me look scruffy!   I would have bought a wig if I needed to, but I was able to get by using a body mousse and blow drying my hair to make it look fuller.

By one year, my hair was pretty well recovered.  In the long run, it is so worth it.

best of luck,

Carol

From personal experience and what I've read, the hair loss is just the body's reaction to the trauma of surgery that causes the hair to synchronize in its normal cycle of growth, dormancy, falling out and regrowth.  So there's not much to do but make the most of it, and know its temporary.

I didn't notice a change in texture. I got a short, sassy hair cut, and I enjoyed the different look.  In fact I've kept my hair shorter in an inverted bob which has a nice look.

I think you'll be well on your way to your hair being back to normal by 1 year post op.

best wishes,

Carol

Nioxxin Shampoo and Conditioner and Biotin.  The Nioxxin really works.  I use the ones for color treated hair.  They sell it on Amazon and Ulta.
