Hi All,

Today I made two chicken dishes,  Chicken Lazone which is a chicken spiced with salt, chili powder, onion power and garlic powder, and then sauted in butter.  Yum...  The recipe calls for adding some cream at the end to make a sauce, but it works great with our without the sauce.  I also made a new recipe - a crock pot chicken salsa verde which is 4 ingredients - chicken, salsa verde, beer and cumin. It smells great.  I'll keep you posted!

breakfast - crustless cheeseburger quiche

lunch - stuffed green pepper

dinner - ham and green bean casserole

snack - chicken lazone if I'm hungry or broccoli slaw

vitamins - on track

water - good

exercise - I actually hit 10,000 steps on my fit bit.  I walked the last 250 just before bedtime!  We'll see how it goes today.

Feeling better physically after getting back into my routine after the death of my mother last week.  Still reeling emotionally, but I am not letting it overwhelm me.

B- Combat Crunch protein bar

L- Sweet orange pepper with packet of StarKist tuna creations, ranch

S- Dannon Light & Fit Greek yogurt, toasted coconut vanilla

D- At my daughter's tonight, probably chicken and some veggies

S- If I want it, a small ice cream cone or piece of ice cream cake to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday which is today.  (I have a caveat about birthday cakes or special desserts -- if I want it and plan to have it, I will have a small portion, no seconds and no leftovers allowed.)

V- I forgot.  I never forget, but my world is upside down, inside out and backwards.  I will get it straightened out so I do not forget again.  I cannot get sick.

W- Ahead of schedule, which is good because my water intake dropped dramatically last week to the point where my lips cracked and peeled.  I was dehydrated for sure!

E- Cleaning, moving stuff, walking.  Honestly, not a priority or concern this month.  My UP24's battery died for the first time in close to 2 years and I have not yet recharged it.  I am still wearing it, and will recharge it, but again, it is not a priority this month.

I'm so sorry to hear of the death of your mother - and just before her 80th Birthday.

I make an exception for birthday cakes, also.  I figure as long as it doesn't become a habit and I get back on track quickly, it does no harm.

take care of yourself,

Carol

Hey everyone! I feel so much better and more on track today than ever after getting some great advice on how I should eat from the vets including Carol :).

B- 2 oz thin sliced lite roasted deli turkey lunch meat

L - 2oz canned salmon with garlic powder and just a smidge (3 GRAMS) of avocado to make it like a tuna salad since I don't do mayo

D - 2oz canned salmon with garlic powder and just a smidge (3 GRAMS) of avocado  to make it like a tuna salad since I don't do mayo

S- If I have one (trying to train myself not to graze) it will be a lite string cheese

V- on track

W - on track

E - walking on my 45 minute lunch at work will probably get about 5-6k steps depends on how fast I walk

I hope everyone has a great day and a lovely start to their weekend. I work Saturday so my weekend starts Sunday personally.
