Quick Introduction

I've been lurking for a couple of months as I waited for my surgery date to approach. My pre-op diet starts today, and I thought it time I finally posted to introduce myself.  I started my VSG  journey in early 2015 when I attended my first seminar. I was fed up and disgusted after regaining the 80 pounds I had recently lost with weigh****chers, for the tenth time it seemed. After the seminar I discovered my health insurance had absolutely no bariatric coverage and it couldn't be appealed. After months of research, I've found a surgeon close to home that has an affordable cash price for VSG and a great program. So finally, my surgery is scheduled for 1/14 and I could not be any more excited to start this journey. Thank you to all of those who have shared information and experience, and I look forward to sharing this journey with you.

Hi! I'd say welcome to the forum but that sounds a bit weird for someone who just joined herself 15 minutes ago :)

1/14 will be the best day of your life, this will be the very best thing you will ever do for yourself! I was a cash patient too, but it is totally worth every penny!

Welcome.  Getting the weight off is the easy part.  Keeping it off is the hard part and surgery is the tool that makes it possible.
