The society of VSG....I want in!
I'm 57, and between my pre-op and post-op phases, I've lost over 50 lbs. I haven't felt this good in years! At my birthday last November, I decided I'm going down in age from here on, and by golly I'm doing it! I've been thinking about when I was young, wearing danskins and wrap-around skirts... I doubt if I'll ever do that again, but I'm sure looking at clothing I'm planning to wear in six months or so! I've started wearing earrings again, and growing my hair a bit longer, too. :) Best of luck to you!
Sheryl- (my name is Cheryl Lynn, too :-). Thanks for sharing, have you had surgery already? I have started to look at beautiful clothes again....not buying yet but even noticing (with longing) all the beautiful clothes! And I say o myself...." you will be able to wear that again!" So exciting!
Great name you have! :)
I had my sleeve surgery on 12/18. In the three weeks since, I've lost a whopping 21 lbs, which far exceeded my expectations. I assume I'll be slowing down now, but still going down. I lost 35 lbs before the surgery. Less than 100 more to go, lol!
I don't know what kind of wild clothes you like, but I'm an old hippie type, and have found a lot of cool stuff at greatergood.com. You first choose what cause you'd like to support, then shop away! I've ordered a couple of things that I can't wear yet, when they were on sale. Mostly I've been haunting the local goodwill stores, I've found a great selection there, with prices that are not so painful for temporary sizes.
So much fun!
I am so excited to get back into normal size clothes! I am not sure what kind of clothes I like. I went thru a phase of "If you can't hide it, DECORATE it!" But mostly I have dressed pretty baggy and comfy at a large size. Maybe I will try some hippie clothes. Thanks for the suggestion! Congrats on your rapid weight loss...and on your visitors of less than a hundred to go. Can't wait to get there myself! Wild Woman

Ms. Wild welcome! We're always making room on the losers bench for new comers. Congratulations on choosing to change the rest of your life. You will be loud and wild and bawdy once again!
