Abdominal binder?

Need for a binder can be individual.  I had a lap VSG, and I still needed one for a week due to lots of pulling, but I was over 400lbs surgery day.  I had/have a large abdomen with fat that pulls down, and the binder made comfort and movement a world easier.

I'd just ask for one in the hospital if you are not self-pay, as insurance will cover it then.  You can wait to see if you need one, because you might not, and then you don't have to worry about it!  If your waist circumference is high enough you might also need two to get enough support, so that's another good reason to wait if you can.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
