First time trying to exercise...

I had VSG surgery on 10/26/15. I have done a little walking here and there. Not much "exercise". I have gone dancing with my husband which surprisingly, I have been able to dance much longer than before without getting tired. Well today, I got on the elliptical machine. I only lasted 12 minutes but its a start. Getting into an exercise routine is going to be a very difficult struggle for me.

I am a nurse and don't have a set time I get off work. I need to find a gym that has a daycare as I have a 16 month old. I would love to find a good zumba class as I love dancing.

Great on working exercise into your schedule.  12 minutes is a great start.  I tried to increase each timeI went on the elliptical.  Each minute helps :) I am now up to 30 minutes and each time it gets easier

Keep it up and it will get easier!

Get yourself a fitness tracker.  You might be surprised how much exercise you are getting just by walking around at work and home.  An exercise routine is wonderful but not necessary for weight loss.

My first stationary bike post surgery was 5 minutes. And I was huffing and puffing. The next day 6 minutes. The next week I got 10. Just keep going and know that every minute, even 1, is better than 0. Keep up he hard work!

A lot if gyms have daycare. But for starters get some excercise videos or try u tube there are excercise videos on there from reputable trainers. Also I found some videos I liked on some of the apps on my tv.

Good luck!  You're doing great, keep at it.  Running helped me slim down quickly but Zumba transformed my body.  I hope you find a class that you like.
