13 days to go!
I brought my robe instead of a coat. It was softer and less constricting than a coat. Some hospitals can be chilly. A robe is easy to put on and comforting.
Good idea on the chapstick.
I also brought slip on slippers that were nonslip (good grips on the bottom) because I don't like hospital socks....they hurt my feet. Slip on slippers are easier to get on for the few days you don't want to bend over too far post op due to the pressure in your belly.
Like everyone else said, you won't need much in the hospital. Everything is pretty much provided and any free moments you have will be for peeing, walking, or the nurses bugging you for blood pressure and vitals readings etc. Otherwise you'll be sleeping.
One thing I wished I brought was Chapstick. My mouth and lips were dry and sore after surgery. I did bring a nice pair of comfy pants for walking around the hospital but that's optional.
Good luck!

Pillow to hold against your stomach on the ride home, lip balm, and PJ bottoms are all you need. The hospital has extra pillows, blankets, and toothbrushes. You won't be able to shower because you'll be attached to your IV line and to various machines that monitor your vital signs. Since you will very likely go home the day after surgery, you can wait to shower until you go home. A robe may also give you problems because of the IV. Just drape a blanket around your shoulders if you get cold. They've got tons of blankets!

Congrats! So happy for you
I took lots of stuff, I didn't need most of it.
Chapstick is a must, your chargers if you are addicted to your electronics like myself :) and lose clothes to heado home
At home I had gas x strips, protein shakes, a heating pad and ice packs. Someone suggested the ice packs for when my incisions started itching ( worked great!)
