Be strong.. you can get through it! I've been on liquid since the 17th, and am having surgery the 30th. It's been rough watching everyone eat everything I'd love to be esting, but I'm on a mission and it'll feel better to know I didn't let the food run my life!

Thanks everyone, I'm past the puree stage, finally, and done with crushing pills (ew), so far I didn't have any negative reactions and I've allowed myself small things, like today I had most of a roll of lifesavers hard candy, and some toast and peanut butter crackers, which aren't great, but compared to what I was eating before the surgery (of both quantity and quality) I'm worlds different.  I appreciate everyone's support.  Also, I was going to name this thread 'Jewish Christmas Blues" but that sounds too much like a Bob-Dylan parody song.

You are very early out for candy... try to stop doing that.

I know it's not the best, but 80 calories of lifesavers isn't that big a deal, especially compared to where I was before.  I generally try to avoid it period, but I can only do so much.
