Surgery Day! (Updated)
Today is the day. I'll be heading down to the hospital in just about an hour. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!
Thanks to all the posts and support on this message board, I feel prepared for what's ahead. I've lost nearly 20lbs pre-op already and looking forward to my new, healthy life after today!
Wish me luck!

*The surgery is done and I'm on the other side now! As a few of you mentioned, the first day after surgery was pretty rough. I struggled big time with nausea from all the trapped gas pain. The more I walk, the better it feels though! I should be headed home from the hospital today and I'm looking forward to recovering at home over Christmas and New Years!
Good luck. Let us know when you're on the other side.

Congratulations! I second what WEBnyc said; the first few days after do suck but once you hit days 4-5 you actually start to feel way more normal and awesome. Wishing you a speedy recovery and normal, smooth, routine surgery! Happy first day of the rest of your life!
