It's Getting Closer!!

Hey all!!

Just wanted to drop in and catch up on everyone's progress! I had to take a break because seeing everyone doing so great was getting me down while I was still waiting around lol.

We had an awesome vacation in Disney World and today I had my final appointment with my surgeon!! Everything is a go and will be submitted to insurance in the morning!

The program coordinator is calling the hospital tomorrow to get me a tentative surgery date for the end of January. She said my insurance has 2 weeks to make their decision (and my insurance always takes the full 2 weeks), then my surgeon is (of course) out of the country for the first 2 weeks of January. But she says as long as everything goes through with insurance I will definitely be in the OR before the end of January!!

I am very excited!

WoooHooo! :) Congratulations! Hope it goes through lightning fast with approval!

I'm told mine will very likely be Mid-February if everything sorts out right... and I hope it does. Would really stink to come this far and hear NO. But, fingers crossed. I might be just a couple weeks behind you :)

Do you have insurance within the state of florida which covers bariatric surgery? if so, which company/policy?

I'm sorry I do not, I I've in NH :)
