The parrot on Bourbon Street

HaHaHa!! Not offended at all. I am, indeed, very conventional. No big hair, not exotic, not bohemian, and certainly not filthy rich (I wish!). Sorry to disappoint.

Until a few years ago, I did indeed have a succession of parrots and parakeets who spent a lot of time on my shoulder (and a lot of time pooping down my back!). I'm currently parrot-free, having had to give up my lovely pink Bourke's parakeet in order to travel. I still miss her. 

And I do have a somewhat large (41-foot Silverton) powerboat, which my husband and I live on and cruise the Chesapeake Bay in the summer. It's not the kind of boat you can take into the open ocean (unless you have a death wish). I'm more of a vagabond than a glam world traveller.
