Hello all,

I am new to this. I am 211.5 lbs and am only 5'1. I am starting to take my classes tomorrow for the gastric sleeve. I see my Phyc on the 24th of November 2015.I am beyond excited. Does anyone in Southern California have Kaiser Permanente for there surgery. I have a a lot to do, and I am curious how long it has taken others with the same insurance. I am hoping to get back to around 115-135 somewhere in that area.

Welcome, Vera!  I'm just a little taller than you and was 218 lbs. when I had surgery.  I think your goal weight is totally acheivable

I don't live in California but there's plenty of people on the boards who've dealt with Kaiser.  Hopefully they'll see this and respond.  If not you may want to try the Insurance Forum or California Forum.

Welcome! I have Cigna and it took me right at 6 months to get through preoperative requirements!  Just make a list and start marking them off!

Good luck!

Welcome!  I am on the other side of the country in Virginia, but I too have heard many people talk about Kaiser.  Your goal is completely achievable.  You just have to be motivated.  Good luck to you!
