Whatcha Eating Today VSGers?? Monday
Happy Monday morning! I'm looking forward to a great week! Only 7 days with students and then Thansgiving and then 3 more weeks until Christmas break! And I'm taking 3 days off in December to go to Vegas with my husband. We have tickets to see Big & Rich and Trace Atkins during the NFR. Should be awesome! I'm going to be a vigilant eater during the next two weeks to prepare for Vegas. I haven't been since I had surgery and I'm a bit nervous about it.
B: leftover Mexican...mostly black beans and cheese
S: yogurt and granola
L: leftover steak and cheese
D: mozzarella stuffed meatballs that are cooking in the crock pot. I'm pretty excited about this recipe! It is a new one for me.
W & V: on track ( I struggle drinking in the afternoon, so I'm trying to drink at least 50 ounces before lunch.)
E: I'm experiencing so pretty horrible back pain, so I'm not sure what, if anything, I will do today.
Next??
Breakfast- Strawberry Premier Protein Shake
Mid-Morning- Taco Cabana taco with 1 slice of bacon, egg, potato and cheese....no tortilla
Lunch- 2 oz Hormel summer sausage, 1 slice sargento Colby-jack thin cheese, 4 saltine crackers
Afternoon Snack- Inspire triple chocolate chip cookie
Dinner- Undecided (Need ideas)
Vitamins- on track
Water/Fluids- Okay....52.8 fl oz so far (41.8 oz= water, 11oz= protein shake)
Exercise: 30 minutes on treadmill this morning, walking while at work...so far 6,319 steps, I'm aiming for 10,000 steps or more!
I'm only 2 weeks out and on soft/pureed.
B - Oatmeal with natural peanut butter
L - White Bean Hummus
D - I think I'm going to have some pureed beef stew, which is what the Hubs is cooking up for the family tonight. Wish me luck on that!
Extra Protein - 1/2 bottle of Isopure over ice and MAYBE a protein drink with skim milk, if I can do it. Having a hard time with the shakes lately.
I'm doing pretty well on my liquids. I have a hard time counting but I can generally tell by my body when I'm doing well. I sip constantly except 30 minutes before a meal and 60 minutes post.
My energy is good but I still have a tugging pain in my tummy and get nauseated if I stand for too long. Each day gets better. Today's my first day back at work! Just three more hours to go!
Hi All,
I just had my mushroom quiche for lunch, and was thinking how much I love my sleeve, as I finished my delightful meal, and realized I'm well under my calorie requirements for the day.
breakfast - salmon (275 calories)
Lunch - crustless mushroom quiche ( 350 calories)
Dinner - buffalo chicken and wheat thins (400 cals plus 140 for crackers)
Eating all these yummy foods, and I'm still under calories for the day by 100 to 200. Not bad. I love my sleeve.
vitamins - on track
water - good
exercise - recumbent bike
