Anyone else about 7 weeks post op?
I LOVED those bars too but stopped them and went to whey protein bars because I heard we can't absorb the protein in the Premier Protein bars. What have you heard about this? I'd love to go back to them on days I can't get in all my protein!

I've never heard about an absorption issue with the Premier Protein bars. This is the ingredient list- is it the Soy Protein Isolate?
Premier Protein® Fiber Bar Protein Blend (Soy Protein Isolate, Partially Hydrolyzed Milk Protein Isolate), Sugar, Polydextrose, Glycerine, Maltitol Syrup, Inulin,Palm Kernel Oil, Cocoa Powder (processed with alkali), Corn Syrup, Tapioca Starch, Cocoa Powder, Chocolate Liquor, Contains 2% or less of the following: Whey Powder, Fractionated Palm Kernel Oil (Palm Kernel Oil, Soy Lecithin), Natural Flavors, Nonfat Milk, Soy Lecithin, Salt, Guar Gum, Sucralose, Vanilla Extract, Peppermint Oil.
Yep. I heard we don't absorb the soy protein as well as the whey protein so although the bars day 15g protein or whatver, we don't actually absorb that much. Again, I don't know if this is accurate or not. I sure hope it isn't!!!
Now that I see the list of ingredients though no wonder they are so good! Look at the sugar and syrups in them. Darn it!
