Dessert line!

Ok so Sunday we had a dinner after church. I choose wisely and after dinner went to get a dessert. As I was standing there waiting one of the older guys standing behind me said very loudly "I can't believe after all the weight you've lost that you're standing in the dessert line!". I was kinda speechless and just said well I've chosen to try and  live a healthy lifestyle but that doesn't mean you can't have treats. When I told my husband about it he said I should've said "I can't believe you're in the desert line with that big gut you have" OMG I almost lost it, LOL. Mind you that dessert he was so worried about was fruit and 1/2 a piece of cake that I shared with my daughter.

Isn't it interesting how freely people share their opinions when it comes to the eating habits of the obese or formerly obese? Every time I've lost weight I have felt as if what I ate was being put under a microscope by a select handful of people. Drove me nuts! Damn Food Police!

I know right! I've never cared about how much or how little someone eats and I would never comment on it.

Your husband had the right answer.  Remember it for next time.

I know I wish I would've thought of it.

That was unbelievably rude.  I don't know where people get off making comments on other's eating habits.
