Rant...
There is only reason that you've gained weight since going back to work - well, maybe two. Increased physical activity...and stress. I work in healthcare so I know you nurses work your asses off!
Any time you dramatically increase your physical activity, the body reacts by increasing the inflammation throughout your system. It happens when you start a new exercise program too. To compensate your body hangs onto every ounce of fluid for dear life. You are retaining water....not fat....end of story.
When the scale stops like this (and it will for the rest of your life) pay attention to the fit of your clothes, keep track of measurements. You WILL be losing fat during these times but it just won't show up on the scale. A half-gallon of water weighs 4 lbs!
In a couple weeks when your body doesn't think it's dying you'll release the excess and have a big drop on the scale. Of water...not fat, so don't get super-excited about it either because you were losing fat the whole time.
And try to remain calm and anxiety-free. These emotions also create tension in the body and you'll retain excess water.
Exactly what Tracy said! REALLY!
To help with the fluid you can do two more things: 1 - drink as much clear water as you possibly can without any additives. No flavorings, nothing! 2 - get as much sleep as possible. Your body is healing and the sleep will help you heal and reduce inflammation.
You will lose the weight. No worries. Everything you are going through we have all seen or been through before!

There's a little part of your rant that you just have to take back -- you're back at work full-time only 10 days after surgery!!!!!?????? Way to go! Most of us take a lot longer to get back into our normal routines -- 3 months for me with 2 hospitalizations during that time. I'm envious!
It's still early days for you, even though your recovery from the surgery has been spectacular. Since you're sticking to your food plan, you must be losing fat, so something else is at work preventing the loss from showing on the scale. Whatever it is, it will resolve and the numbers on the scale will move.

Thank you guys for your responses!! Today is a better day for me. I am re-focused and ready.. Trying to take it one week at a time. I am looking forward to next week when I can advance to my soft food diet. on my plan, this is week 3-7. I have been looking at food plans and things I can try. I have already purchased the yogurt, cottage cheese, tuna, and spaghetti squash to make "spaghetti". I am excited about the food advances and flavors. Thank you again everyone!
This is refreshing to hear. I had my sx on 10/29. It was losing everyday until yesterday. (Total 9lbs. for the week.) I was wandering what the heck I could be doing wrong and getting frustrated. I started walking as of 11/2 and was wondering if it could be that. I was also thinking is too could be water as well. I sure hope so.
I feel exactly the same! I was also sleeved on 10/26 and feel like my sleeve is doing nothing. I'm still on full liquids which I can drink with no issues. I can drink the same amount of water as I could pre op. I'm walking about 3 miles a day. I have only lost 8lbs which I'm pretty sure I could have done in 2 weeks without the surgery. I am hungry all the time. I start on soft foods on Monday. I wonder if my body is in starvation mode and that's why I am not losing much weight. To say that I am feeling disappointed and confused is an understatement! Please tell me it gets better!
