I had a hard time finding one so I opted for a vitamin patch. It is nice to have one less pill to worry about!! I haven't had my first labs performed yet so I'm hoping for good results from the patch.

I use the patch (patchmd.com) and my labs came back stellar- much better than my previous labs from pill versions of supplements. There is a 40% of promo code running- pmd40 or something like that.

I plan on getting my labs drawn on November 11th and it will take about a week for the results but I will post when I receive them.

We only need chewables for the first 3-6 months. I used Bariatric Advantage during that period.

I got cleared for regular vitamins at my 3-month check-up and I couldn't be happier. I absolutely could not find a chewable vitamin that I liked. I ended up taking Flintstones's vitamins twice a day for the first 3 months, just because the other ones literally made me want to throw up (including Bariatric Advantage ones). Flintstones are generally NOT recommended post-op because they don't provide enough nutrients but I did fine with them, and after taking them for 3 months, my blood work showed no deficiencies.

Now that I am post 3 months, I take:

  • 500mg Calcium Citrate
  • 5000mcg B12 lozenge once a week
  • Rainbow Light Women's One Multivitamin

I'm 10 months post-op and I'm still taking Centrum chewables (orange flavor) because my numbers are coming out great and my surgeon is happy. I was taking TwinLab Calcium Citrate chewables (loved the taste) but now have changed to pills. I take B12 sublingual (Trader Joe's) only 3 times per week. I'm also taking 1,000 mg of vitamin C chewables (Costco). My surgeon is very pleased with my numbers. So I'm going to continue.
