Hi everyone! After completing the 3 months requirements for my insurance, I have finally have a surgery date set!    I am on day 4 of the liquid diet and have to complete two weeks due to my BMI. I'm nervous, excited, anxious and of course, scared. I think those are normal feelings going into this type of surgery. Good luck to all who are also making this lifestyle change!

Yes, all of those feelings are normal! The pre-surgery liquid diet might be the hardest of all. Enjoy the ride!

Brilliant!  I had to do 4 weeks of the pre-op diet and my surgery is finally on Wednesday!  lol  Seems like it's taken forever to get here, but I've been very anxious, too.  I am not nervous and I think it's because I have a great care team and I feel like I'm in good hands.  I hope you can get to that point, too.  Good luck!  :)

I remember being anxious and scared before my surgery to the point of almost backing out completely...but then on the way to the OP and chatting with the surgical nurses I was very relaxed. By the time they put me under, I wasn't scared and was happy to be doing this. I am so happy I didn't back out and although I have a bit to go..I have lost over 100 pounds and still have some to go...Good luck to you on your journey, soon you will be on the losers bench...keep us posted!
