Well guys, I'm alive! Had my surgery yesterday at 4pm. I woke up in lots of pain and shivering from cold. Turns out my temp dropped down to 97.2 ° after they gave me pain med, i felt better but have had lots of nausea! Plain zofran, phenergan didn't cut it. I was given Toradol. Gas pains are no joke! I'm due to be discharged here within the next hour. That's all I have for now.

Thank you ladies! I am now home and having a very difficult time holding down any fluids. I have zofran, promethazine, and nausea cream. None, work because I can't even hold down the oral medication long enough to do any food. I throw it all back up. I have been taking small sips of water in a shot glass and I can't hold that down either! What did I do to myself?

Thanks for checking in. It must be good to be done, and home.

You'll feel like crap for a couple of days. But every day will get a little bit better.

Work hard on the water. Try hot, cold, flavored. Sugar free popsicles and jello are your friend. Not drinking is the surest way to continue feeling like crap.

Now get up and walk.

Glad to see you came through it!! I had such bad gas pains right in between my shoulder blades.. OMG!! I thought I was going to die!! After about the 4th day, they were just about gone. I burped a lot.. hahaha.. it was very hard the first day after surgery to get the air moving, but once I left the hospital and was home it seemed to help a lot. I think out of everything the gas pains in my shoulders and chest were the worst of it all.. hang in there!! I am 3 weeks post-op and believe me once those pains go away it's smooth sailing.. I still have some tingle and pinchy pains here and there but nothing major and my body is still healing. I'm back to work and feeling pretty good. I didn't use any pain meds once I got home.. but in the hospital.. I think they had my morphine drip on ultra.. hahaha GOOD Luck!!
