2 year anniversary- late post

I'm late posting this. At 2 years I have to say I still think it's been quite a ride. I've definitely had ups and downs, not the least of which has been my weight. My lowest weight was 145. I've been back up as high as 179, which was due to me eating dairy of all things. I saw a dietitian and the first thing she did was take me off dairy and 13lbs fell off in about 2 weeks. A big lesson for me has been to quit obsessing about the scale. I've decided my body is a gift and if I'm doing well with taking care of it good things happen. I started taking a weight lifting class, I go 4 days a week for an hour. Its high intensity interspersed with heavy weights. That is the single best thing that's happened in the last 2 years, watching my body develop muscles and get stronger and stronger. My body fat is 21.7 %.. Now that's a number I can embrace. I can eat 1200 calories without worrying I'm going to gain. I'm the oldest person in the class. Most of the women are 30-40's. I'm learning so much from watching these women find their inner strength and watch it bubble over into other areas of their lives.

Do I still have trigger foods? Yes, I'm still an addict and there is a list of foods I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole

Any bad side effects from surgery? Yes, I've developed reactive hypoglycemia so no sugar or simple carbs unless I eat fat and protein with them

Would I do it again? In a heartbeat

How do I feel? Like a million bucks

Thanks to everyone that's been in this journey with me, for answering questions I have for all the good advice and support given so freely here.

Kathy
