Goal rewards
One of the things that I've been thinking about before I even had my surgery was what I would want to do for myself when hit certain goals (50 lbs lost, 100 lbs lost, goal weight). I have 150 lbs to lose total, so it was easy to do 50 lb increments. When I hit 50 lbs, I bought a new high end scale. I know that when I hit my goal weight, we are doing a family portrait and I'm going to have it framed and hung up on the wall for everyone to see (there is not 1 single picture of me on display at my house right now). I don't know what to do when I hit 100 pounds lost. I'm still 40 pounds from that goal, but I want to have an idea before I get there.
What all have you guys done for yourself to mark these milestones?

I'm planning practical rewards that will also be a treat. Nice walking shoes, more expensive than normal. I want a pair of hiking piles so I can try hiking. Might need to splurge on a "new to me" treadmill to walk on over the winter, mine may be beyond repair. Of course a hair do, pedicure, spa day, new clothes can all be nice treats as well.

I'm going to buy myself a pair of Frye boots when I hit my goal. I know exactly which ones.
For 50 pounds, (I'm down 42 so far) I'm going to get a 90 minute massage and a facial.
For onederland, (I'm getting closer every day!) I'll do something else spa-related. Maybe another massage.
Today, I opened up my jewelery box and found out that some rings that haven't fit in a long time now fit. It's kind of like getting new jewelry.
Your ideas sound fantastic.
On my one year surge-versary, (May 1, 2014) I sailed out of Athens, Greece on a 10 day Holy Lands Cruise of Greece, Turkey and Israel that was a dream come true. I was just under 200 pounds - having lost 180 pounds in my first year plus pre-surgery diet. I have a picture of me in my seat showing the excess seat belt length. That was a nice NSV and a great way to celebrate my new health. I could take the strenuous tours and never had trouble keeping up. What an experience this has been.
best wishes,
Carol

I have been planning to buy a really nice pair of tall leather boots and a custom handmade belt when I reach my end goal, since both items will cost a pretty penny and I don't want to jump the gun and end up getting a size too large. I haven't really done much for interrim milestones, although I did buy a pair of cheap tall boots as soon as I could FIT into a pair, so I guess that was a milestone purchase. I cut my hair short a few months after surgery so that I wouldn't have to deal with post-op hairfall with longer hair, but that wasn't really a 'reward' for myself.
If I had the money, I'd do something like book a mani/pedi or spa treatment to mark off weight milestones.
How about a new lathe, maybe with electronic variable speed? Unless you already have one.
