To the single people who have had the sleeve...

My biggest pet peeve post surgery is the way I am treated in stores. I had money before and wanted to buy but nobody saw me especially in higher end stores like jewellery or car dealerships. Now they fall over to get to me. I can't be in any store without help coming to me within 5 minutes. It is so obviously about the weight as I was always well groomed and well dressed when obese.

Men do notice me and talk to me more but my own head gets in the way of trusting men and dating. I still see the fat person in the mirror and fear the reaction to how I look especially naked. I have not had plastics. We weight loss alone hasn't changed my dating life.

Reading this it reminded me of that scene in Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts went into buy expensive clothes and was snubbed by the sales lady. It's really sad how very shallow and discriminatory people are towards the obese.

I really don't care if the weight loss changes by dating life or not...my main priority is wanting to feel better, to have more energy and wanting to live life instead of being completely and utterly miserable!
