Hi!

I was supposed to have my surgery the 12th, but it was rescheduled to the 14th due to a mix up over when I had my last blood thinner shot. I have had no complications so far! I am having some cravings, but I have also been able to resist!

Sorry you had to go thru the complications with the bleeder! Must have been scary. But the good thing is that is now behind you and you are now on the loser's bench! And WOW...23 pounds...I was happy with 9 at my 2 week post op visit.

sorry you had problems they happen but as long as it was taken care of all is good , weight loss the first 3 weeks does not mean how good or bad your doing everyone is diffrent some even gain from the swelling and fluids

I was allowed chicken at 2 weeks( chicken baby food on full liquids when I went home from hospital) every plan is different follow your plan

I'm so sorry to hear about your complication. I'm glad you are on the mends. I commiserate on the diet in the first months post-op. I also found it difficult. I wondered if I would ever feel normal again. But I did. It too****il the 6th or 7th month post-op when I had enough room to include veggies in my meals that I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. It was the first time I got the sense that I had reached a "new normal" where I could eat like this the rest of my life, and feel ok about it.

I'm 2.5 years post op and I'm still within a few pounds of my goal weight. I lost 225 pounds, and went from 385 to 160, and a BMI of 60 to 24. I am thrilled that I had WLS and I can assure you that it will be worth the effort in the long run.

best of luck,

Carol
