Can Homemade Cheese Crisps last without being refrigerated?

I made some of the Homemade Cheese Crisps which are mounds of shredded cheese baked in the oven. I don't like to cook, so I tend to cook a lot at a time. But when I refrigerated these, they were no longer crispy. So anyone who has made these, can I leave them out of the fridge (like cookies) for a week or so, or are they perishable? Any advice would be appreciated. :-) Kay

I don't know, but I don't think I'd leave them out for a week. Maybe a day.

And who in god's name has left cookies out for a week without getting eaten? Were you away somewhere? Incarcerated?

You can make them in the microwave on parchment paper. It only takes about a minute to a minute and a half to nuke them. I blot them really well with paper towel to get to excess grease off. No dishes to do either!

One of my secrets of long time maintenance is never making a batch of anything. I use the microwave to make one cheese crisp, one muffin in a minute, one bowl of ricotta with marinara sauce.

No leftovers in this house to call to me in the middle of the night.
