You can definitely do this!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life

I understand what you are thinking, as I went thru the same thought process. "I'm doing so well, couldn't I just do this on my own?" But then I had a stressful day, and I remembered how stress and many other factors that can interfere with the diet. I remembered how many times I lost 50 pounds only to gain it back and more.

The surgery really works. Before surgery I could never maintain my weight loss. Now I can. I am so glad I had the surgery and I suspect you will feel the same. Its a life-changer.

best wishes,

Carol

Thank you! Your advice is really encouraging! I also have lost weight many times since I was age 10 to only gain it back plus more. I pray this surgery can be the tool I need to be successful. :)

Congrats on the surgery! I know the feeling about trouble sleeping. I'm worried I'm going to do something to mess it up. In fact last night I dreamed I took a bite of mashed potatoes and when that bit of heaven hit my mouth I realized and had to spit it out. Crazy dreams and anxiety! LOL
