Well, that was delicious...liquid diet....

Just put 5 ice cubes, 8 oz of skim milk, 2 scoops of chocolate protein powder (their recommended amount) and about a tsp of hazelnut extract into my Magic Bullet. It was DELICIOUS. Not really filling (I am missing food, lol), but a nice substitute for a store bought protein shake. Anyone know if I can add a banana to that next time? The bullet pretty much pulverizes anything..but don't want to add it if it is a no no, ya know?

Bananas are a high carb, high calorie, sugary fruit. I would skip bananas until you reach goal. Berries ( strawberries, raspberries, blueberries) are your best choice if you must add fruit. The body reads fruit as sugar and eating too much fruit will slow or stop your weight loss. Limit fruit to one (very small) serving per day and remember a serving is 4 strawberries.

I was told I could add any fruit that would blend well though and did not have seeds eg strawberries, raspberries, so a banana should be fine. Some people add some creamy peanut butter or cottage cheese.

We love our Magic Bullet! I agree, bananas are a bit high in sugar. Strawberries are our go to fruit if we have any. I also add reduced sugar peanut butter to my husband's shake and Fair Life milk, it's also reduced sugar. He really likes the vanilla Bariatric Advantage shakes. To him they taste desserty.

I wouldn't add it, but only because my liquid diet doesn't allow fruit. Protein shakes (ready made) and non starchy vegetables. I am looking forward to using my nutribullet after surgery though. I didn't have one when I got my band but after my revision I'm sure it'll be useful.
