What is your go to crunchy food?
It's super easy. I think it's easier than the oven method I've seen around, but more reliable than the microwave method.

As early out as you are, I'd stick with cheese crisps for crunchy. It's easy to make your own and you can flavor them however you want. Or you can get prepackaged cheese crisps like "Just the Cheese" from Amazon. In the early stages, I also went for pork rinds. They have no nutritional value and you have to measure out your portions because they're almost pure fat, but they deliver the crunchy/salty better than anything else.
Further out, nuts and roasted edamame or chickpeas work well.
To scratch my crunch itch I go to pork rinds...spicy flavored ones...plain ones are just gross...but you are right portions are VERY important.
Fibergourmet Cinnamon thinables 70 cals, 12g fiber, 3g protein I can only buy them in the 1 ounce bags (versus the box). I will eat the box if available, but am able to do just fine with the prepackaged servings. They have different flavors and the cheese ones are better than Cheezits. Avoid this stuff though if it might be triggery for you though, and not this early out from surgury as well.
