Sweet Creamy Beans Drink...Yes it sounds nasty but is really good!

As a treat it isn't too bad, replacing the milk with non-fat, the sugar with artificial sweetener, leave out the raisins as they aren't sleeve friendly although they are pureed they are still heavy on sugar. Sweet potatoes and Beans while high in carbs have a ton of fiber and are not too bad on diet without the butter sugar and marshmallows(I will miss that at thanksgiving).
There are so many changes, why bother? I am 11 years out and wouldn't touch this with a bargepole.
Long term maintenance is very very hard and even contemplating ways to circumvent the plan this early out rings all sorts of alarm bells. I would not consider something like this to be in any of our futures ...

Actually, it isn't circumventing anything when done properly nor do I contemplate cheating. Beans are very VSG friendly and Sweet Potatoes are fine especially in the small amounts in recipe. Beans are high in protein and fiber and sweet potato in the small amount given in recipe per serving is not much. Substituting things is easy..for most folks. With the addition of Fat Free Evap milk and sugar free substitute you basically have a Cream of bean soup which I see many folks eating on Sleeve. Assuming that I am trying to circumvent the diet is a wrong assumption. As a treat this is healthy if you make it healthy and substitute the fattening things in it. A half cup serving of this probably has same calories as a Bean soup. That recipe makes like a gallon. I don't think one has to give up on healthy foods just be careful and use common sense.Actually, it isn't circumventing anything when done properly nor do I contemplate cheating. That's not good. Do beans not agree with you or just carbs in general? I'm not a fan but they are everywhere on my plan. I have not tried anything with significant carbs other than perhaps skim milk. I think with my shakes and the other things like Kefir yogurt I'm pretty much under 30 carbs a day. Beans are pretty high in carbs and I stayed away from them when I was on Atkins. A half cup beans is about 20 grams of carbs, A 1/4 of a med sweet potato has about 7 carbs, minus the fiber of 8 grams for both that would be about 19 plus the the free milk would bring it up to about 30. Which right now on my diet would be a days worth. I have yet to try anything with much carbs but if they make me sick I too would stay away too. I try to concentrate on the sugar and fats and calories. Right now I need to work fiber into my next stage as I need it. My nutritionist is a big fan of beans, butternut squash, pumpkin, sweet potato, me not so much. I like string beans, broccoli, spinach, cauliflower and yellow squash but am afraid the seeds would not agree as I hear on here a lot of folks don't tolerate them, same for eggplants tiny seeds.

What are your good carbs that you do get? If you like eggs I put an egg foo young recipe up that has almost no carbs. I am now looking for the good fats as I am not crazy about avocado nor Salmon nor adding oil to things. Is there something food wise you eat that has good oils. Thanks
