LAST DAY!

Hey! I'm out, surgery was done about six hours ago. I was nauseous for a couple hours right after and my pain was maybe a 4/10. I feel great now though--no real pain, stomached is calmed, able to walk around.

Stiff and sore and tired but honestly I feel pretty good!

Having fun listening to some music and reading/chatting.

If yours is anything like this it's a cakewalk!

You will be fine ............ stay strong, ignore the naysayers, this is for you first and that means your loved ones second, they need to support you or keep opinions to themselves. My biggest detractors were people who should be doing something about weight but don't, I don't judge them just politely inform if asked

Wishing you an identical recovery to the one I had - minimal gas pain in the shoulder, NO internal pain whatsoever, and only slight abdominal pain the first two weeks or so. I never had trouble getting liquids in and I never vomited!

Best of luck!!!!!

Thanks! I hope for a recovery like yours as well. My biggest fears are dehydration and vomiting!

good luck to you. My surgery is on the 19th. My last weigh in is the 15th to be sure that I lost the weight I was supposed to lose pre op. How much did you lose on the pre op diet?

Hi, I haven't weighed yet. Will do so Thursday morning but I think I'm around the 10-12 lb mark.

Hi Suzy!

I am excited that your big day is almost here, and the liquid diet is moving towards being a thing of the past! I have until Monday and while not physically hungry anymore every time I smell food I want a taste!

I was more nervous a month ago when I completed all my pre-op requirements, and realized this was really going to happen. Now I just want to get it done, and see how successful I can be.

Of course since I still have a few days the nerves can kick in over the weekend!

You'll be fine...you've worked hard!

Enjoy!

Kathy
