LAST DAY!
Whew...today is the last day of my all liquid pre-op diet! Tomorrow I can only have clear fluids in preparation for Thursday morning's surgery. It is almost over. Of course, now that it is almost over, I have found the last couple of days to be really easy! Murphy's Law.
I also increased my activity level starting on October 1st. We are participating in Walktober here at work so I'm trying to get at least 8,000 steps in each day. I have a desk job so that means purposely getting up to move more, taking the longest route to the farthest bathroom etc... I am also walking at home since the weather here in Phoenix has finally cooled off! My dogs love it too.
I'm starting to feel a little nervous about surgery. Not necessarily about the procedure but how I will feel after. Will I be one of those who sails through recovery or will I be one that suffers? I typically recover well from surgery however; it has been 15 years since my last one! I'm going in with a positive attitude though and I think that is a lot of the battle!
The "am I doing the right thing", "maybe this is a mistake", etc...type thoughts are trying to trick me into backing out of this though. I'm fighting them off as best I can!!

good luck to you, almost there! My surgery is on the 14th, and it feels sooooo far away. This liquid diet is making the days drag on and on though. You have a great attitude going into this and that bodes well for future success.
You will be fine n its normal to have those thoughts...lol. I was the exact same way n I'm now 4 weeks post op today. I'm doing great actually cleaning house....scrubbing bathrooms etc...fun fun! I'm a little disappointed with my own weight loss 18 pounds loss in four weeks. I just thought it would be more...trying to stay positive though. Good luck...take a pillow for ride home...n walk...n sip....liquids. ?
Best of luck. You will do great, and you are going to love the results. It is so worth the effort - I'd do it again in a minute if I needed to.
best wishes,
Carol

Tomorrow morning for me. Doing the clear liquids today. Funny how I'm hungry just because I'm not getting protein shakes. I'm also sick of protein shakes though, so it's no big deal. Last few days have been easy for me, too.
I'm nervous as hell.
Talk to you on the other side :)
