100 lbs. lost, revised weight goal and new pic!
Wow...you look amazing to say the least! Curious, once you were healed...did up you start exercising? What type how long? Days? Once you hit your eight weeks...normal foods...how many calories, carbs, fats, proteins were you allowing? I'm just two weeks post op but still using shakes two a day per nut she said drink one in morning before breakfast and sip on another one between meals through out day. I get lean deli meats starting today n cheese n stuff but curious as to what normal amounts will be after eight weeks? Thank you...you have been a great success at this! 😉
Hi sunshine,
I do exercise! I started out 15-30 minutes of walking daily and am now up to 45-60+ minutes usually 6 days per week. I now walk a 4 mph pace. Some days I do exercise DVDs instead. I've lifted a little but plan to ramp up my resistance training in a few weeks - I had recent surgery and have had lifting restrictions.
As far as food goes, I progressed from around 600 calories per day to now around 800 calories per day. I have 2 protein drinks a day - started out with 3. My typical day consists of a greek yogurt for breakfast, a protein drink mid morning, a protein source (2 oz.) and maybe a 1/2 C of fruit for lunch, a protein drink either mid afternoon or between dinner and bedtime and for dinner a lean protein (2-3 oz.)and 1/2 C of vegetable. About 2-3 times a week I have a healthy grain or starchy veggie (Wasa rye crisps, light microwave popcorn, 4 inch corn tortilla, white or sweet potato) I try to get at least 65 grams of protein in a day, often more then that. My carbs average 75-85 grams per day (higher then many on here but well within my surgeon's plan) and my fats probably average about 20 grams per day. I will probably increase healthy fats as I go up in calories.
Good luck with your journey!
