Go in to urgent care tonight?
I've been having these sharp, stabbing pains in my upper right abdomen every couple of minutes for the last several hours. It truly hurts, like suck-in-your-breath hurts, but it's short and fades away quickly.
I'm not nauseous, dizzy, feverish, etc. Just have this stupid pain. I still have my gallbladder, appendix, and all other parts. I've taken Tylenol, which did nothing. I've eaten and drank a bottle of water.
I'm content to wait it out. DH thinks I should go in tonight. WWYD?

I have the brilliant idea to call the physician on-call at my surgical center. She said in the absence of other symptoms, she's okay with me waiting it out. If the pain worsens or anything changes, I should go in. So I'm at home for now. Still having pain but it's not getting worse.

Good call. Just be sure to call back in or go in should symptoms change. Feel better.

Sounds like your gallbladder, or it could just be gas. I'll hope for your sake its gas. I wouldn't eat anything with fat just in case. I'm definitely not a doctor, but in 2011 I almost died because I kept ignoring the signs of a bad gallbladder. Keep us posted. Sending good thoughts your way.
