Can you color hair while losing your hair?
I have kept up with my usual color schedule without problem. The person who colors my hair isn't concerned that color treatments will cause further damage. Good luck!

Nope, it won't affect a thing. Your hair is falling out because of the changes your body is going through, not because of anything you're doing to the hair itself! Dye away, especially if it makes you feel better :)

You are not losing hair because it is damaged - you are losing hair because the growth cycle has rebooted, and there are oodles of brand new hairs pushing the old ones out (google telogen effluvium).
So, that being said - YES! Color your hair and add some layers as well. The makeover will make you feel wonderful as your changes are starting to show.
