No pre-op liquid diet??
You (and me) aren't the norm. All plans are different but it seems that most people have a 1-2 week liquid diet.

No liquid diet for me either. Just "nothing by mouth after 8pm" the day before.

Mine is October 12th and I am in the middle of my 3 week liquid diet. It has been horrible. Honestly I lost more weight if I had a salad with grilled chicken daily. The weight loss with the liquid has been extremely slow. It has been 4 days and I am only down 1 pound. It is very frustrating. Wish you the best of luck with your surgery. :)
I start my surgeon mandated 2 week liquid diet tomorrow. Surgery is October 8th. He said it shrinks the liver making surgery safer. The liver is smaller and out of the way which reduces the chance of nicks or cuts to the liver which then = bleeding.

Congrats on a surgery date. You will see that everyone has different experiences based on their doctor or NUT.
For me I was on a 2 week pre op diet of liquids for breakfast and lunch and a lean meal in the evening (lean meat and 2 cups of vegetables), no carbs, no soda. But 2 days prior to surgery liquids only.
