Feedback needed regarding weight loss please.
I had my surgery on 8/13/15. Starting weight day of surgery was 268. I was a month out on Thursday 9/10/15 and I have weighed 250 for the last week and a half. Is this normal? It seems like the weight should be coming off faster, does the dreaded three week stall last this long? Please let me know if anyone else gas had this issue. Thanks in advance!
Totally normal if you're sticking to your plan.

I had my VSG surgery 8/1/15 - six weeks out today and I've lost 15 lbs. I don't know what to think. The needle on the scale hasn't budged in a week. While I don't feel discouraged, I thought I'd have lost more.
On the other hand, I FEEL like I'm losing - I can see it - so some thing must be happening.
Onward!
What does your doctor have you eating? Are you carefully following the plan? How much water are you getting in a day? Sip, sip, sip!
If you're following the plan, then don't stress. The weight will come off. Breathe. Get your exercise. Stay the course. Believe!

What you're experiencing is totally normal.
And when I experienced it, it freaked me out too!!! :-)
It took me about a year to get used to the idea that my weight loss was not going to continue in a straight line. I had a stall about once every 6 weeks - sometimes it would last for weeks.
The one thing I did learn, was that, - what worked for me in the past would start working again.
As long as I stuck to my doctor's diet and exercise guidelines, the weight would start falling off again.
It was that simple for me. I had to be patient and wait for my body to adjust to it's new "normal".
I tried playing with my protein/carb ratio, upping my water intake, exercising more.
I don't know if any of those things really made a difference for me or if it was just the passing of time that got me back into weight loss mode.
But be assured, You Are Not Alone!, plateaus happen to all of us. It's just part of the process.
Hang in there, take small positive steps, keep doing the right things for yourself.
It all adds up in the end, and it's all worth the time and effort. :-)

I think the worst thing to do is weigh yourself a lot (says the girl who weighs herself too much). I had my surgery on Aug. 31st and went into the hospital at 214 lbs. I was 217 when I came home (probably from IV fluids) and it seemed like every time I got on the scale, even twice a day I had lost weight. 4 days ago I hit 200.6 (that evil number..hahaha) and I was so excited to finally go below 200 that I checked my weight twice (ok like 20 times) a day and eeeeeeevery time it was 200.6. Today after 4 days of looking at 200.6 and literally shaking my scale to see if it was broken it finally eeked down to 199.8 (YESSSSSSSS). I've decided after my first 4 day plateau that I am NOT going to torture myself like that and only will allow myself to weigh in on Monday mornings. (oh boy I hope I can actually DO this..so easy to say)
