Frisco- Filet Mignon & Brussels Sprouts

Filet Mignon & Brussels Sprouts for dinner last night.

Made this for me and my mom.

Bought an 8oz. bacon wrapped filet from the market an sliced it in half and was perfect for me and moms.

My secret on brussels sprouts is to cut them into "coins" so they get more added flavor into them and they cook faster.

Pictured is about 3oz. (after cooking) filet over sprouts !

Tasty and on point !!!

Looks great, as usual, frisco. Must definitely make this. Did you pan-sear or grill the filets? And did you steam or boil the sprouts? My husband loves beef. Not sure I can eat it, though. The last time I tried to eat steak (and it was very tender), very unfortunate things happened.

Electric grill on the filet and hot pan with EVOO on the sprouts.....

I quickly saute brussels sprouts with EVOO over medium high heat then add a smidgeon of grass fed butter and a 1/4 cup (or so) of beef broth and cook for a few more minutes. This is a beautiful way to prepare them, IMO. Got it from an Alice Waters cook book on vegetables.

YUMMY!!! (I saute my sprouts with minced shallots and add a small amount of crispy center cut bacon).
